Knowing how to play Fortnite before heading into your first game is essential if you want to dominate the arena. I mean, you wouldn’t go into a battle unprepared in real life now would you? The same goes with video games!
While Fortnite has been around since 2017, it’s really not too late to join in on the fun! If you’re dying to try Fornite but don’t know how, you’ve come to the right place. Here is my Fortnite for Beginners guide.
How to Play Fortnite for Dummies
The first thing you need to know is that Fortnite has four major game modes:- Battle Royale lets players hop off the Battle Bus to the Island below where they will battle it to the deaths with the other players. The idea is to be the last man, or last team, standing. You can use the power of wood, brick, or metal to create different structures to aid you in your battle. Battle Royale is free to download and is available on all consoles as well as PC, and mobile.
- Party Royale is a game mode that you can play within Battle Royale. You can think of Party Royale as the more chill version of its bigger brother, so there’s no need to worry about killing all of your opponents. This space allows you to experiment and evolve with no pressure. Party Royale, as well as the other modes within Battle Royale, is also free.
- Fortnite Creative is another mode you can play within Battle Royale. In Fortnite Creative, you have the reins to create your own Island, including all its games and rules. Once you’ve created an Island, you can then invite over some friends.
- Last but not least, we have Fortnite Save the World. In this game mode, players can explore a seemingly never-ending world that you and other players need to protect from a group of monsters. You can defeat these monsters, known as Husks, by finding loot, crafting weapons, and collecting more Heroes. To play this mode, you need to purchase a Save the World Pack on the Fortnite website.
