Here’s What’s in the Season 3 Chapter 2 Battlepass!

by | May 17, 2022

Last March, we saw the launch of a new season in Fortnite and with it comes a couple welcome additions to the game. The biggest new addition is undoubtedly the addition of the No Build mode. The name is self-explanatory, but we’ll get more into that in another blog.

Aside from the new modes and little tweaks like weapons balances, a new season also calls for a new edition of the Battle Pass in Fortnite. For those who want to keep their avatar looking fresh, then this is great news for you. In this article, we’ll talk about what you can expect in the Season 2 Battle Pass of Fortnite

How does the new Fortnite Battle Pass work?

If this is your first time playing Fortnite, or any battle royale for that matter, then you might be a little confused on how the Battle Pass in Fortnite works. Even if you’re a veteran gamer who’s used to playing many different multiplayer games, Fortnite’s Battle Pass works a little bit different.

Just like most other Battle Passes, as you play the game, you gain experience points towards the Battle Pass that unlocks in-game goodies for you to enjoy. These include things like player skins, emotes, weapons skins, and other customization options. However, Fortnite’s Battle Pass gives you a little more control in terms of what you want to unlock and claim. While other games like Warzone, have a definite progression, Fortnite lets you choose which items you want to claim first. Instead of experience, you gain stars with every game you play. You then spend these stars in the Battle Pass and get the loot you want.

While you don’t necessarily have to pay to benefit from the new Fortnite Battle Pass, your rewards will be severely limited. To take full advantage of the Battle Pass you have to pay in-game currency, V-Bucks, to access the all the goodies the new Fortnite Battle Pass comes with. In Fortnite, that’s going to cost you 950 V-Bucks, which is about $7.99 in the United States.

Season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass Features

While it’s natural to hesitate when it comes to spending real money on in-game purchases, the Battle Pass is a cost-effective way to get yourself some customization options for your avatar in Fortnite.

One of the biggest and most valuable reward in the Battle Pass in Fortnite is V-Bucks. That’s right, you can win back the very currency you used to purchase the Pass in the first place. While it’s going to initially cost you 950 V-Bucks, there’s a total of 1,500 V-Bucks that you can win back by simply playing the game. You can then use that 1,500 V-Bucks to buy next season’s Battle Pass or use it to buy items from the shop.

The rest of the Battle Pass in Fortnite includes dozens of different customization items like weapon and glider skins, back bling, banners, and loading screens. But the biggest rewards by far, are the player skins and styles. This season’s Battle Pass includes six new characters: Tsuki 2.0, Gunnar, The Imagined, Kiara K.O., The Origin, and Erisa. One of the skins, Tsuki 2.0, is automatically unlocked when you purchase the Battle Pass.

The biggest reward however is a whole new character that most are already familiar with. If last season brought about the addition of Spider Man, this season’s new character is Doctor Strange. You can now wreak havoc on the battlefield as Doctor Stephen Strange himself, who comes with his own unique gliding animations.

This sought-after skin won’t be that easy to get as it’s the last things that unlocks and will require you to claim all other rewards first.
