Fortnite is well known for its cartoon like animation style and the vast options presented to players when it comes to customizing your character. Even those who don’t regularly play the game know how easy it is to spend money and V-Bucks on emotes showcasing the latest dance crazes and of course the many different Fortnite skins.
In this article, we’ve gathered 5 of some of the best Fortnite skins that we’ve seen over the years.
How to buy Fortnite skins
This might seem like a no brainer but it’s worth mentioning for newbies and those are still generally unfamiliar with the game.
You can easily buy Fortnite skins in the item shop using V-Bucks, the in-game currency that you purchase using real money. Not every skin is available all the time and these Fortnite skins rotate daily, so there’s a bit of luck involved in securing the most sought after and best Fortnite skins.
Certain skins are also released through the Battle Pass that comes with every season. Since the Battle Pass changes every season, some Fortnite skins – including some on this list – are only available for a limited time. This leaves players hoping these skins come back through the item shop sooner or later.
Drift & Brite Bomber
The first of the best Fortnite skins are actually 2 skins: Drift and Brite Bomber. When Fortnite was first released in 2017, it came with a bunch of characters and skins that you would see in loading screens and videos that showed the story of the season. Drift and Brite Bomber were two of the original skins released and remains a fan favorite today.
It’s interesting to note that these two have also had different variations released over the years, so players have options in choosing how to showcase these OG Fortnite characters. Another cool trivia is how it’s speculated that these two are actually in the relationship because of the loading screens from Season 5.
You can buy these skins from the item shop for 1,200 V-Bucks.
Raven
Another cool Fortnite skin is Raven, also known as “The Master of Dark Skies”. There’s no other skin that comparesto this legendary outfit, with everything from its black color scheme to the shadowy face that you can’t see anything of except for its terrifying, glowing, purple eyes.
You can catch the Raven skin in the item shop every now and then for the usual 2,000 V-Bucks. So be sure to get this when it does pop up in the shop!
Peely
Not everything has to be serious in a battle royale and this skin is here to prove it. Peely is bright yellow banana and totally fits in to the zany look of Fortnite. If you’re the type to go around trolling the other players in the lobby, Peely’s your guy. Paired with some skills, you’ll be sure to frustrate some players. After all, who wouldn’t be ticked off getting eliminated by a smiling banana.
Peely was part of the season 8 battle pass in 2019 so we can only hope Epic Games will give players another chance to cop this.
Galaxy
This has to be one of the rarest, and technically most expensive, skins available in Fortnite. To get this skin, you had to purchase a Samsung Galaxy, meaning you’d have to spend hundreds of dollars on a phone just to get it.
It might not be possible to get it now, but if you did, you have one of the rarest and coolest looking skins in the game with Galaxy’s bright purple body and swirling orbs around his head.
Crossover Fortnite Skins
The last skin is actually a group of skins. Fortnite has been servicing fans by releasing skins of characters from other popular movies and games. This lets players tear it up using their favorite characters from other franchises like Master Chief from Halo, Spider Man, Deadpool, The Mandalorian, Star-Lord, and even John Wick. These skins are definitely a must have, especially if one of your favorite characters ever becomes available.
